Inspections are required throughout the building process to ensure that construction, alteration, or repair complies with building codes and ordinances, zoning regulations and contract specifications.

Building

Building Inspection provides enforcement of the current adopted codes to ensure the minimum safety standards of building, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems to protect residential and commercial building users.

Fire

Staff in the office of the Storey County Fire Department conduct fire and life safety inspections of existing facilities and on issues requiring permits.
