The Storey County Building Department is also responsible for carrying out inspections of buildings, plan revisions and the maintenance of applied, issued, expired and canceled permits. Inspections are conducted to ensure compliance with building and zoning codes and provide a level of necessary checks and balances in our growing county. Please note that it is the responsibility of the permit holder to request the appropriate inspections in a timely manner and to insure that the work to be inspected is complete and ready for inspection.
