Protection Order applications are available at the Storey County Justice Court, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

The Court Clerks will assist you during the application process and are available to answer any procedural questions you may have.

The Judge will review the application and may set the matter for a hearing in order to determine if the statutory requirements have been met.

• The duration of a Temporary Protection Order is up to 30 days.
• The duration of an Extended Protection Order is up to one year.

Types of Protection Orders available:

• Protection Order Against Domestic Violence (NRS 33.018)
• Protection Order For The Protection Of Children (NRS 33.400)
• Protection Order Against Stalking, Aggravated Stalking or Harassment (NRS 200.575, NRS 200.571)
• Protection Order Against Harassment In The Workplace (NRS 33.240) (A filing fee and security fee applies.)
