Message from the Sheriff

Sheriff James G. Miller is pleased to announce the opening of the new Sheriff's Office Substation in Lockwood.  It is located right next door to the Lockwood Market.  The northern residents of Storey County can now have more direct access to the Sheriff's Office without traveling to Virginia City.  Work cards, CCWs, and dog licenses are some of the services that will be available at the Lockwood station.  It will be staffed Tuesday through Thursday, 10AM - 3PM, by office personnel who can assist with these issues.  Walk in crime reports can also be made during these hours.  And of course Sheriff's deputies are available to the public 24/7 by calling dispatch.

Not only will office services be available to residents in Lockwood, but the Sheriff's Office administration will be present.  Sheriff Miller, Chief Antinoro and Lieutenant Quirk will be present during the week.  Even if you have no official need, stop in and just say hi.
