Kathy Weeks
grew up in Portola, CA and after graduation from high school
there, she went on to graduate from California State
University, Sacramento with honors. She then lived in San
Francisco for a short time and finally moved to Virginia
City in 1974. Kathy started her career at the Storey
County Assessor’s Office in July 1984. In 1996, Kathy ran
for, and was elected as the County Assessor.
Her knowledge of the office and the county along with her
education and state certified tax appraiser certification
has made Kathy a valuable asset to the county since assuming
her role. She looks forward to serving Storey County
residents and businesses and welcomes any questions you may
have.
