In addition to fielding emergency calls, the Storey County Communications Center also answers and processes non-emergency and administrative calls. Our center maintains appropriate call logs and forwards information to appropriate County personnel.

Examples of non-emergency calls which should be directed to (775) 847-0950 – NOT 911 – include:

  • Citizen inquiring about an  ongoing investigation
  • Concerns regarding street plowing
  • Parking problems
  • Barking dogs
  • Police reports
  • Vacation watch request  - If you are a resident of Storey County and would like to request for a deputy to drive by your home while you are away, you can download a vacation watch request form by clicking here.
