POOL RULES, FEES AND HOURS OF OPERATION

The Public Works department provides supervision and maintenance the pool and four parks of Storey County. This includes supervision of contracted service providers and maintenance staff for landscaping, irrigation, general maintenance, litter removal and custodial services. These services help to maximize your enjoyment of parks and public grounds.

Storey County and the Virginia Highlands are favorite spots for wild horses. However, you should never approach a wild horse, as it could cause serious injury to you, the horse, or to County property. If you spot a wild horse in a County park, please contact the Public Works department at (775) 847-0958 or the Sheriff’s Dispatch Center at (775) 847-0950. If you feel human welfare is at risk, please contact 911.
