As a primary fiscal officer of the County, all goods and services incurred by the county are paid through the Auditor's Office, which is charged with monitoring all expenditures made by the County. The Auditor oversees the County's financial activities and the quality of financial reporting to ensure accountability and accuracy. The Auditor also oversees all County payroll activity. Summaries of the total figures for payables are compiled, maintained and published on a quarterly basis by the Auditor's Office. The annual audit provides an overview of Storey County's financial position, activities and condition and is posted on the website each year.
