There is a lot that goes into providing quality service to our citizens and visitors.  To those ends, the Sheriff appoints individuals to key positions to facilitate the operations of the Sheriff's Office.  Here are the appointed individuals and a little bit about them:

Assistant Sheriff Gerald Antinoro came to Storey County in 2006.  He has extensive experience in law enforcement, having started his peace officer career in 1984.  During his career Assistant Sheriff Antinoro has served in a myriad of positions which include corrections, patrol, supervisor, Assistant Chief of Police, and Chief.  He is a 2001 graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, possesses a Bachelors of   Arts, a Masters Degree in Organizational Management, and a Nevada POST Executive Certificate.

Jerry is enthralled by Storey County's people and history.  He has diligently applied himself to developing friendships and professional relationships in the community since moving to Virginia City.  His philosophy is that all policing should be community-oriented and he maintains the nine basic principles of Sir Robert Peel are as valid to modern policing as they were in Peel’s day.  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peelian_Principles).

As second in command, Jerry assists the Sheriff in planning, administering and coordinating the activities of the office.

Lieutenant Quirk currently oversees the Investigative Division of the Sheriff's Office.
