Communications Facility/Dispatch Services

The Storey County Sheriff’s Office operates a 24 hour communications facility that serves as the dispatch center for phone calls placed to 911 in the geographical area of Storey County. The facility monitors, dispatches and coordinates a variety of emergency services for residents and businesses in the county. Depending upon the nature of the call, the communications facility will either dispatch Fire, Rescue, Ambulance and/or Police Enforcement. Additionally, non-emergency calls placed to (775) 847-0950 for neighborhood disturbances and animal controls are handled through the communications facility.
