Patrol & Investigations

Deputies patrol all areas of Storey County and has jurisdiction to act in any area of the county. Calls to 9-1-1 are routed to the county dispatch center, which is located at the jail facility. The Storey County Sheriff's Office assigns deputies to patrol designated districts of the county to ensure complete law enforcement coverage. Traffic safety, emergency response, criminal investigations and animal control are all responsibilities deputies are in charge of during their patrol. Patrol deputies also respond to alarms, provide bank escorts, supply escorts for probation officers and act as couriers between district courts.
