Emergency Notification

In the event of an emergency, Storey County’s Emergency Management Team will do their best to notify you by phone and/or e-mail. Therefore, it is important for you to register with our emergency alert system with your most current contact information.

Please email your daytime phone, evening phone, cell phone and email address to the Emergency Management Department, or sign up for county notifications, so the county can advise you of any emergencies.

Natural and man-made disasters can cause emergency situations at any time. If you believe you are experiencing or have witnessed a life-threatening emergency call 911 to contact the police, fire, and paramedics.

Call the Storey County sheriff, fire, paramedics Dispatch Center at 775-847-0950 to contact personnel regarding issues that are not life-threatening.

Call Poison Control at 800-222-1222 for 24-hour advice from medical specialists regarding poison-related treatment and prevention.
