Storey County is proud to offer this new service for the remainder of 2026, and future years.
Voucher requests will be reviewed and processed once per week.
Each Storey County household — including residents of the Lockwood community, which is served by Waste Management of Nevada, Inc. under a separate service agreement — is eligible to receive up to three vouchers per calendar year. Vouchers are issued beginning January 1 of each year.
Storey County manages the distribution and tracking of all vouchers, verifying household eligibility by name and address. New vouchers are issued annually upon request and are valid only for the year in which they are issued. Waste Management may reject a voucher at either facility if there is evidence of forgery or if the voucher is being used by a commercial customer.
