The Storey County Assessor is responsible for the valuation and assessment of all property in the county, both real and personal. This includes both exempt and non-exempt properties. Additionally, our office provides vehicle registration services under the Nevada State Department of Motor Vehicles. The following are services provided by our office:

Property Value & Tax Assessment

• Locate all property in the County and identify the ownership
• Establish a taxable value for all property
• List the value of all property on the tax roll
• Assess personal property, business personal property, and manufactured homes
• Handle all billing of business personal property and manufactured homes placed on the unsecured tax roll
• Keep parcel maps on all property in the county current
• Apply all legal exemptions
• Maintain public records
• Conduct fair and efficient assessments
