The Global Connect Notification System is a method that allows mass notification of Storey County residents and businesses in emergency situations. Data is obtained from AT&T on all of the landline phones based in Storey County. This data is then broken down--and notification lists created--by community, such as:

• Lockwood
• Mark Twain Estates
• Rainbow Bend
• Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center
• Virginia City and Gold Hill
• Virginia City Highlands

Adding Your Number
If you have another telephone service provider besides AT&T, such as VOIP, or if you wish to add your cell phone or work number to the system, please contact the Storey County Communications Center at 775-847-0930.

Getting a Message
When a notification message is sent out, it is important that you listen to the entire message before hanging up your telephone to make sure that you are properly informed of the situation.
