Juvenile Prosecution
It is the responsibility of the District Attorney's Office to prosecute all offenses committed by juveniles in Storey County. These include:

• Felonies
• Gross misdemeanors
• Misdemeanors
• Traffic offenses
• Truancy cases

This office also prosecutes adult felons who are co-defendants of juveniles and adults charged with contributing to the delinquency of minors.

Mission
The District Attorney staff has received specialized training in matters involving juveniles, and its mission is to handle juvenile prosecutions honestly, efficiently, and ethically.

As part of this mission, this office works to provide education about the consequences of crime to offenders and youth residing in the county.
