Burn Permits

To obtain or renew a Burn Permit, please call Station 71 directly at 775-847-0954. 

Burn permits are issued free of charge. Burning is prohibited within Virginia City, Gold Hill, and the Virginia City Highlands. Fuels can be taken to the slash pile for disposal in the Virginia City Highlands year around.

Burning is only permitted during the winter. Dates vary on environmental conditions.
