All dogs in Storey County over 4 months of age are required to be licensed. To obtain an animal license you must provide proof of current rabies vaccination having been administered by a licensed veterinarian. Proof of spaying must also be provided at the time of licensing to receive the reduced rate.

Licenses are renewed annually.

• Males and spayed females: $10
• Unspayed females: $25

While not a requirement of licensing, we recommend you microchip your pet.
