The Storey County Sheriff’s Office makes arrests of individuals with court-issued warrants. Warrants span a range of infractions from failure to pay court-mandated child support to larceny and theft.

Community Service

An offender convicted of an offense not warranting imprisonment may be sentenced to community service. A community service sentencing depends upon the offender's consent and if a sponsor is available to supervise the offender and provide appropriate work. The Storey County Justice of the Peace oversees all community service sentencing.
