The Storey County Sheriff’s Office makes arrests of individuals with court-issued warrants. Warrants span a range of infractions from failure to pay court-mandated child support to larceny and theft.

If you have received a civil infraction citation, you must request a hearing or make payment in full within 90 days of the citation date. If you have questions about a civil infraction citation, please contact the Virginia Township Justice Court at trcivil@storeycounty.org.
If you have received a misdemeanor citation, you must either appear in court on the date listed on your citation or make payment in full. If you have questions about a misdemeanor citation, please contact the Virginia Township Justice Court at 775-847-0962.
Community Service
An offender convicted of an offense not warranting imprisonment may be sentenced to community service. A community service sentencing depends upon the offender's consent and if a sponsor is available to supervise the offender and provide appropriate work. The Storey County Justice of the Peace oversees all community service sentencing.Outstanding Warrants
