Welcome to Storey County Emergency Management. We plan, prepare, respond, and recover together, as a community, from natural and man-made disasters occurring
within Storey County.
Storey County Emergency Management operates in conjunction with other government agencies, the private sector, and community stakeholders to advocate for preparedness, prevention, response, recovery, and mitigation. Our objective is to build a resilient community that withstands all hazards, adapts quickly to disruptions, and rapidly resumes day-to-day activities.
In the event of an emergency, Storey County will attempt to notify you by phone and/or e-mail. Therefore, it is important for you to register with our emergency alert system with your most current contact information.
OnSolve CodeRED® is an emergency notification system that enables local public safety personnel to notify residents and businesses by telephone, text message, email, social media and more of
time-sensitive information, emergencies or urgent alerts.
Residents can enroll by visiting our Community Notification Enrollment page at https://public.coderedweb.com/CNE/99498DE0A0F3 or by texting “STOREY” to 99411 or via the below app. With the recent carrier and internet outages, it's important you receive alerts in any situation. Through OnSolve CodeRED®, you can download a mobile app to ensure you receive alerts in the event traditional methods are down.
