To post bail for an individual incarcerated in our facility you may do so in the following manner:

• U.S. currency, which must be presented in person at the Storey County Jail
• Certified or cashier's checks drawn on a U.S. bank
• Postal money orders (with the amount typed or stamped)
• Bonds posted by accepted bail agents (except cash-only bails and fines)

Money orders, certified and cashier's checks should be made payable to the court hearing the case.

Bail Companies

Once bail is posted, the release procedure takes from 1 to 4 hours. Storey County Sheriff’s Office cannot recommend or suggest a bail company.
