Elder adults (over age 60) are more vulnerable to elder abuse if they are frail, have disabilities, memory problems, dementia, live alone, or are depressed.

A Vulnerable Adult is typically defined as an individual aged 18 or older, who due to a physical or mental disability, is unable to protect themselves. They may be incapable of managing their own finances, daily tasks, or seeking help when needed.
