Payment Policy and Filing Fees

Payment Policy:  The court accepts cash, personal check, cashier's check, money order, electronic check.  We also accept Visa Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.  Payments may be made in person, by mail, by phone at 1-855-436-6811, and online at www.virginiatownshippayments.com.

Valid identification must be presented to court personnel when making payment with a personal check or charge/debit card.
Personal checks returned to the court for nonsufficient funds will be resubmitted to the bank.  Failure of the check to clear on the second attempt will result in a service charge of $25 and issuance of bench warrant for contempt of court.  (The maximum penalty for contempt of court for most cases is a fine not to exceed $500, imprisonment of no more than 25 days, or a combination thereof.  NRS 22.100)  Check privilege will be suspended.  A receipt issued by the court is proof of payment
